Jae & Rubie - American Dreams

Photographing a wedding is always a privilege, always special to share in a couple's special day. But every now and then you meet a bride and a groom that stand out from the crowd making this job even better. Jae and Rubie are one such couple.
Their love for each other shines through in every photo, but so does their infectious optimism, their love of life. . .and their craziness! Having a couple like this makes my job incredibly easy; it's impossible not to capture great images when the couple refuse to be inhibited by the camera and carry on having fun!
As I mentioned in a previous post, Rubie comes from a particularly large family (she has 22 brothers & sisters) and this certainly helped give the day it's relaxed, fun atmosphere. The evening reception included a "roast" where successive members of Rubie, and Jae's, family came up on stage to poke fun, tease and celebrate the couple. I have to say I haven't witnessed anything quite like it in any other wedding I've photographed! It was all hilarious, and made for some great pictures.
